Southern Integrated Solutions & Consulting (SISC) is looking for a full-time Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities of this role involve leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for processing plants and related facilities. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for our customers across multiply industry sectors, like upstream, midstream, downstream, Government & Infrastructure and manufacturing. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver innovative solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities of this role involve leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for processing plants and related facilities. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for our customers across multiply industry sectors, like upstream, midstream, downstream, Government & Infrastructure and manufacturing. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical lead for electrical and instrumentation engineering projects.
- Collaborate directly with clients to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and project teams within the firm.
- Conduct system analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
- Develop electrical deliverables up to 480VAC such as Motor Schematics, Panel Schedules, Switchgear and Motor Control Center design, One-lines, Cable Schedules, etc.
- Specify instrumentation devices, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, and temperature sensors.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and detailed reports, to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical and instrumentation engineering and propose innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
- Ensure all engineering work aligns with the firm’s commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Performs I&C engineering tasks with minimal oversight from supervisor. May serve as project lead or project manager on smaller projects.
- Develop instrumentation deliverables such as Instrument Indexes, Datasheets, Cable Schedules, Panel Layout & Wiring Drawings, Location Plans, Loop Drawings, etc.
- Reviews all electrical documents for accuracy and quality when developed by others.
- Attend project job walks, conduct design review meetings with customers.
- Performs electrical studies and reviews such as HAZOP, LOPA, & Alarm Rationalization.
- Develop equipment Requisitioning Documentation, Technical Bid Tabulations and Supplier Documents.
- Performs field surveys to document existing conditions. Develop engineering estimates and proposals.
- Works with project teams, Clients, and Suppliers to resolve Electrical & Instrumentation technical issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
- Proven expertise in power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation technologies.
- Proficiency in industry-specific tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SKM) and engineering principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Experience using MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel).
- Eligible to work in the United States (US Citizen or Green Card holder).
- Willing to travel up to 50%.
