Southern Integrated Solutions & Consulting (SISC) is looking for a full time Electrical Journeyman who has 3-5 years of Electrical experience in municipal & industrial spaces. The successful candidate under the general direction of the Companies Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foreman’s will perform electrical, communications and electronic activities. The Electrical Journeyman plays a key role in executing ongoing facilities maintenance and capital improvement projects. The Electrical Journeyman performs and directs the apprentices assigned to them in the daily job duties and tasks and performs other project related duties as required.

Job Description:
The Journeyman’s roll will be hands on, performing tasks with apprentices toprovide training and increased knowledge for intercompany growth
Document daily progress for reporting
Report project specific information to the assigned superintendent or Foreman on scheduled basis
Ensures the occupational health and safety of assigned employees in accordancewith state and federal regulations, departmental and District policies, as well asindustry standards and practices
Inspects work in progress to assure compliance with applicable codes andstandards, project specifications and quality assurance procedures. Inspect completed work to ensure that Company and applicable quality control standardsare maintained
Regular, reliable attendance and performance is required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of the NEC
Technical understanding of electrical construction
Knowledge of electrical construction practices
Knowledge of low voltage construction
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read blueprints and drawings
Ability to learn through observation and hands on experience
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines
Ability to work on and with a team
Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with current satisfactory drivin record and means of transportation
Education and Experience:
3-5 years of Industrial Electrical construction
Experienced in managing and directing multiple personnel on a single project
High school diploma or equivalent
Fluent or Highly Proficient in relevant software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
