Job Description:
Southern Integrated Solutions and Consulting (SISC) is searching for a skilled Control Panel Builder/Technician to support our industrial automation projects by assembling, wiring, and testing high-quality control panels for diverse industries. In this role, you'll interpret schematics, install essential components, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the functionality of control systems, contributing to our commitment to exceptional service across industries from manufacturing to oil and gas. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. As part of our team, you'll collaborate with engineers and project managers in a safety-first environment to meet project timelines and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications to assemble control panels according to project requirements.
- Select and install control components, including PLCs, HMIs, power supplies, relays, and other control devices.
- Wire control panels neatly and efficiently, following wiring diagrams and industry standards.
- Perform functional testing of control panels to verify proper operation and compliance with design specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during panel assembly and testing.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certification or training in electrical technology or a related field is preferred.
Hard Skills:
- Experience in control panel assembly and wiring.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with industrial automation and manufacturing processes.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- High efficiency and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
