Overview:
Southern Integrated Solutions & Consulting (SISC) is looking for a full time Electrical Foreman who has 5-8 years of Electrical experience in municipal & industrial spaces. The successful candidate under the general direction of the Companies Project Managers and Superintendents, will plan, organize, and direct all activities of the electricians and communications/electronic technicians assigned to them. The Electrical Foreman plays a key role in executing ongoing facilities maintenance and capital improvement projects. The Electrical Foreman directs the Journeymen and Apprentices daily as to what their specific job duties and tasks and performs other project related duties as required. On smaller projects the Electrical Foreman will be the senior employee onsite and therefore will direct the crew as such.

Job Description:
  • Performs full time project site supervision over assigned employees to projec completion
  • Assigns and supervises daily activities of the personnel under their direction
  • The Foreman’s roll will be hands on, performing tasks with journeymen and apprentices to provide training and increased knowledge for intercompany growth
  • Document daily progress for reporting
  • Report project specific information to the assigned project manager or superintendent on a scheduled basis
  • Ensures the occupational health and safety of assigned employees in accordance with state and federal regulations, departmental and District policies, as well as industry standards and practices
  • Inspects work in progress to assure compliance with applicable codes and standards, project specifications and quality assurance procedures.
  • Inspects completed work to ensure that Company and applicable quality control standards are maintained
  • Coordinates department activities with other departments and divisions as required
  • Monitors performance of assigned personnel and conducts performance management and evaluations as required
  • Regular, reliable attendance and performance is required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NEC
  • Technical understanding of electrical construction
  • Knowledge of electrical construction practices
  • Knowledge of low voltage construction
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; including technical writing skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective management and planning skills
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and read blueprints and drawings

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with current satisfactory driving record and means of transportation
Education and Experience:
  • 5-8 years of Industrial Electrical construction
  • Experienced in managing and directing multiple personnel on a single project
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent or Highly Proficient in relevant software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
